Genuine Ford door lock bezels

Genuine Ford Door Lock Barrel Covers

From vehicle theft attempts to general wear and tear, Ford door lock covers are currently in high demand.  Paintmodz stock a range of these parts in a selection of vehicle colours.  These parts will ship on the same day if the order is received before our Royal Mail collection (mid-afternoon).

If the part you are looking for is not listed, please contact us as we can source/paint other parts/colours to order.  We have undertaken work for similar parts on vehicles such as the Focus, Mondeo and S Max in the past.

Standard Door Handle Lock Bezel Mk7/7.5 Fiesta (inc ST180).

We receive a lot of enquiries from customers looking to completely cover up the lock ‘hole’ in an effort to deter thieves.  Unfortunately (and in contrary to many people’s belief) the lock bezels on all Mk7.5 Fiestas came with a hole in from the factory.  This is to allow access to your vehicle by using the key blade (hidden inside your key) in the event your battery goes flat.  Only the newer (Mk8/8.5) generation Fiesta came with a covered lock barrel from the Ford factory.

These parts will fit Mk7.5 Fiesta models registered between 2013 and 2017 (please note 2017 was a crossover year between the Mk7.5 and Mk8 Fiesta so please contact us if you require one of these parts and are unsure which vehicle variant you have).

We currently sell two variants of the Standard Door Handle Lock Bezel – ‘Keyless Entry’ and ‘Non-Keyless Entry’.  These names (given by Ford) can cause some confusion as neither vehicle variant requires a key to be inserted into a lock to open the vehicle – ‘Keyless Entry’ vehicles automatically unlock when you walk up to the car (if the key is within close proximity) and access is gained by pressing a button on the handle whereas ‘Non-Keyless Entry’ vehicles require you to actually press a button on the key to unlock the vehicle.

Both terms have nothing to do with being able to start the car with the push button. To simplify which variant you will need, ‘Keyless Entry’ vehicles will have a small black square button on the driver’s side handle and a horizontal line running through the middle of both the handle and bezel whereas 'Non Keyless Entry' vehicles do not (see photos).

For a short time Paintmodz did sell a ‘De-Lock’ bezel – but this was essentially just the (Genuine Ford) passenger side bezel turned around and fitted to the driver’s door.

These parts did not contain a lock barrel and so if your battery went flat you would not be able to gain access to your vehicle.  Whilst these parts were only sold as a cosmetic upgrade, customers began to purchase them for security reasons and as we were unable to comment on their effectiveness for this purpose we withdrew them from sale.

Standard Door Handle Lock Cover Mk8/8.5 Fiesta / Mk2 Puma

Whilst Mk8/8.5 Fiesta and Mk2 Puma vehicles are still relatively new, the door lock covers are prone to breaking, particularly following spells of cold weather.  In contrast to similar parts on older models, these parts are designed to cover the lock barrel on the door handle.  In the event your battery goes flat, access can be gained by inserting the key blade (hidden inside your key) into the bottom of the cover.

There are no complicated variants with these parts, they will fit all Mk8/8.5 Fiesta and Mk2 Puma models from 2018 onwards (please note 2017 was a crossover year between the Mk7.5 and Mk8 Fiesta so please contact us if you require one of these parts and are unsure which vehicle variant you have).  If your vehicle colour is not listed, please contact us as we may be able to supply the part to order for an additional charge.

Mk3.5 Focus De-Lock Door Handle Lock Cover

Following the publication of a product demonstration/fitting YouTube video by one of our customers we have to point out that these products are unfortunately no longer for sale.

These products were essentially the Genuine Ford passenger side bezel that can be fitted to the driver’s side door by turning it around.  This creates a cleaner look to the door handle by removing the lock barrel but, as with the Fiesta variant we sold, it does also mean that access to the car cannot be gained by using the key blade if the battery goes flat.

Whilst these parts were only sold as a cosmetic upgrade, customers began to purchase them for security reasons and as we were unable to comment on their effectiveness for this purpose we withdrew them from sale.
