Back in 2020 a customer contacted us asking if we could design a part to cover up the area where the seats of his Mk7.5 Fiesta bolted into the floor as the metal fixings are quite unsightly and (on older vehicle models especially) are prone to rusting.
At the time of the request staffing constraints together with preparations ahead of moving premises limited the time that we had available for product development and so it was therefore not until the summer of 2021 that we were able to launch the parts.
Whilst we believe our ‘Textured OEM’ finish is the way to go with these parts, we appreciate some customers want something a bit different and so the parts were also made available in Gloss Black and Carbon Fibre effect finishes.
Following the release of the Fiesta parts we were inundated with messages from owners of other vehicle variants asking if we could make the covers for their cars too. We duly obliged, starting with the Mk3/3.5 Focus…
Upon releasing these parts, we received yet more enquiries, this time requesting similar parts but for similar parts on the sides and rears of the seats. We responded once again…After launching these parts it was then just a case of getting access to relevant vehicles to develop further variants. Firstly, a former colleague was able to loan us a Mk6 Fiesta…
Then a customer kindly loaned us their Mk2.5 Focus RS…
Shortly after we gained access to a Mk2 Puma via a family member…
We were also able to develop the parts for the Mk8/8.5 Fiesta using our current development car. Whilst the seat rail ends already come with plastic covers on newer generation vehicles, some customers still prefer to add the finishing touch with Gloss Black or Carbon Fibre effect parts.
We will continue to expand our seat rail end range as and when we are able to access development cars, starting with the Mk2/2.5 Focus (Non-RS variants) which we are hoping to launch in early 2025.
