Despite a personal interest in Fast Fords we are acutely aware that several other vehicle marques have a significant following of modified car enthusiasts. Due to this we have gone on to develop parts for Vauxhalls, Volkswagens and Renaults (amongst others). One vehicle manufacturer that we were not aware had such a following however, was Hyundai. Following my attendance at a local car show, I was introduced to Jack (j90_ckj) and we gained access to a Hyundai i20N development vehicle.
We initially developed a battery cover and fuse box cover for the i20/i20N along with a washer bottle cap cover. This was followed later by a coolant tank cover which needed a slight tweak following an issue with the factory bonnet prop fouling the cover. As with the majority of our parts these simply stick on over the existing factory parts using strong double sided tape or velcro (supplied). They can be left on the vehicle during normal road use (including motorway driving) and are easily removable for servicing or should you sell the vehicle.
Our covers were initially launched in our usual range of Gloss Plastic finishes...
But we later added selected paint finishes too...
If you are interested in having any of our parts painted in a different vehicle colour, please contact us for a quotation as they can be done to order.
We did not initially develop a coolant tank cap cover for the Hyundai i20 as we would usually do due to issues with excessive heat from the tank, however we are still looking in to solutions to this issue.
Following the launch of our i20 range, we were soon being contacted by a number of Hyundai i30 / i30N owners asking if we made parts for their car too. After a short “We Need You” campaign on a social media owners group, Darren kindly left us his car for a fortnight whilst he was on holiday. During this time we were able to develop a full range of engine bay dress up parts including covers for the battery, fuse box, coolant tank brake reservoir, caps along with slam panel/end covers. As with the majority of our parts these simply stick on over the existing factory parts using strong double sided tape or velcro (supplied). They can be left on the vehicle during normal road use (including motorway driving) and are easily removable for servicing or should you sell the vehicle.
We were also able to develop an upper middle brake light cover along with a range of interior parts including a dead pedal/foot rest plate amongst others.
As with the i20/i20N, our parts are available in our range of Gloss Plastic and selected vehicle paint finishes. If you are interested in having any of our parts painted in a different vehicle colour, please contact us for a quotation as they can be done to order.
A main engine cover for the Hyundai i30N is in development, but unlike most of our other engine covers its positioning in relation to the turbo on the vehicle is causing heat related issues which are yet to be resolved.
The introduction of the new i30 / i30N parts led to a large number of enquiries from i20 / i20N owners so we quickly developed the upper brake light cover for this vehicle…
… and in the last week we have also added a set of slam panel covers and a number of interior insert plates to our i20 range…
What does the future hold for our Hyundai ranges? We are continuing to investigate solutions for the heat issue on the i30N main engine cover as this would be the finishing touch to the engine bay. If you would be interested in this cover (bearing in mind we may only be able to release it as ‘Show Only’), please drop us an email or message us on Facebook or Instagram.
In terms of the i20 / i20N, we are hoping to launch a set of rear door handle inserts, bonnet catch plate cover, slam end/headlight cover panels and possibly under bonnet panels… all of course subject to access to our development vehicle. Covers for the oil cap and washer cap are also on our 'to do' list. Keep your eyes peeled on our homepage for new products!
On behalf of all of us here at Paintmodz Proform Ltd I would like to thank both Jack and Darren for their support in our product development.

]]>We offer these covers for a range of Ford, Hyundai and Mazda vehicles in Gloss Black and Deluxe Carbon Fibre Effect finishes. These parts are a simple way of adding a finishing detail to your vehicle.
Fitment is easy – simply clean down the brake light on the vehicle using a combination of hot soapy water and then an alcohol based cleaner. Gently heat up the (supplied) double sided tape on the back of the part, peel off the backing and stick it onto the vehicle!

The factory aerial bases on many Mk2/2.5 Focus & Mk3/4 Mondeo vehicles have started to severely corrode and unfortunately Ford no longer supply the base without the rest of the aerial assembly/antenna array. The Ford parts retail at over £250 and installation requires removal of the headliner.
Our aerial base cover is a significantly more cost-effective way of solving this problem and fitment is as easy as unscrewing the existing aerial mast, placing our cover over the base and re-screwing the mast back in. There is no need to worry about tape sticking to the corroded cover as once the mast is screwed back into place it securely holds the cover in place.
The parts are available in a range of colours and finishes, including ‘Textured OEM’ for the factory look, Gloss Black, Carbon Fibre Effect and more!

These parts are currently available for the Hyundai i30 as well as a range of Ford Fiesta and Focus vehicles with more models coming soon. Our inserts are a simple and effective way of adding detail to the interior of your vehicle.
These parts are available in Gloss Black however the Ford variants are also offered in our Deluxe Carbon Fibre effect to tie in with the carbon trims that come on some models from the factory.
These parts are either ‘interference fit’ or supplied with double sided tape in which case a quick clean down of the cup holder with hot soapy water and then an alcohol based cleaner is all that is required to stick them in place.

Currently available for a range of Ford Fiesta, Focus and Puma models as well as Hyundai i20N and i30N vehicles, our 4D Acrylic Foot Rest or “Dead Pedal” plates are a great way to add a splash of colour to your footwell and cover up the dull plastic foot rest or plain carpet.
Made from laser cut acrylic, these pars are supplied with double sided velcro and will stick straight onto carpet (foot rests may require a clean with hot soapy water and then an alcohol based cleaner before sticking them in place).

Available for a range of Ford Focus, Fiesta and Puma vehicles, are easy to install seat rail end covers are the perfect way to cover up the seat rail ends/bolts which are usually unsightly and on older cars are often rusty.
Whilst most customers choose our Textured ‘OEM’ (factory style) plastic finish to tie-in with the existing interior plastics, the parts are also available in a range of other finishes including Gloss Black and Deluxe Carbon Fibre effect.
As with most of our other parts, fitment is as simple as cleaning the existing seat rail end in line with our supplied instructions, gently heating the supplied double sided tape on the part and sticking the covers down.

Our covers are a great way to cover up the factory rubbers that are often tarnished from a combination of UV light and regular washing/polishing. These parts are available for the Mazda MX5 NC as well as a wide range of Ford Fiesta, Focus and Puma models.
Whilst Gloss Black is our most popular selling finish, the parts are also available in a range of other coloured finishes including 20 Ford vehicle paint colours allowing you to add a splash of colour to an otherwise dull area of the vehicle.

]]>From vehicle theft attempts to general wear and tear, Ford door lock covers are currently in high demand. Paintmodz stock a range of these parts in a selection of vehicle colours. These parts will ship on the same day if the order is received before our Royal Mail collection (mid-afternoon).
If the part you are looking for is not listed, please contact us as we can source/paint other parts/colours to order. We have undertaken work for similar parts on vehicles such as the Focus, Mondeo and S Max in the past.
We receive a lot of enquiries from customers looking to completely cover up the lock ‘hole’ in an effort to deter thieves. Unfortunately (and in contrary to many people’s belief) the lock bezels on all Mk7.5 Fiestas came with a hole in from the factory. This is to allow access to your vehicle by using the key blade (hidden inside your key) in the event your battery goes flat. Only the newer (Mk8/8.5) generation Fiesta came with a covered lock barrel from the Ford factory.
These parts will fit Mk7.5 Fiesta models registered between 2013 and 2017 (please note 2017 was a crossover year between the Mk7.5 and Mk8 Fiesta so please contact us if you require one of these parts and are unsure which vehicle variant you have).
We currently sell two variants of the Standard Door Handle Lock Bezel – ‘Keyless Entry’ and ‘Non-Keyless Entry’. These names (given by Ford) can cause some confusion as neither vehicle variant requires a key to be inserted into a lock to open the vehicle – ‘Keyless Entry’ vehicles automatically unlock when you walk up to the car (if the key is within close proximity) and access is gained by pressing a button on the handle whereas ‘Non-Keyless Entry’ vehicles require you to actually press a button on the key to unlock the vehicle.
Both terms have nothing to do with being able to start the car with the push button. To simplify which variant you will need, ‘Keyless Entry’ vehicles will have a small black square button on the driver’s side handle and a horizontal line running through the middle of both the handle and bezel whereas 'Non Keyless Entry' vehicles do not (see photos).
For a short time Paintmodz did sell a ‘De-Lock’ bezel – but this was essentially just the (Genuine Ford) passenger side bezel turned around and fitted to the driver’s door.
These parts did not contain a lock barrel and so if your battery went flat you would not be able to gain access to your vehicle. Whilst these parts were only sold as a cosmetic upgrade, customers began to purchase them for security reasons and as we were unable to comment on their effectiveness for this purpose we withdrew them from sale.
Whilst Mk8/8.5 Fiesta and Mk2 Puma vehicles are still relatively new, the door lock covers are prone to breaking, particularly following spells of cold weather. In contrast to similar parts on older models, these parts are designed to cover the lock barrel on the door handle. In the event your battery goes flat, access can be gained by inserting the key blade (hidden inside your key) into the bottom of the cover.
There are no complicated variants with these parts, they will fit all Mk8/8.5 Fiesta and Mk2 Puma models from 2018 onwards (please note 2017 was a crossover year between the Mk7.5 and Mk8 Fiesta so please contact us if you require one of these parts and are unsure which vehicle variant you have). If your vehicle colour is not listed, please contact us as we may be able to supply the part to order for an additional charge.
Following the publication of a product demonstration/fitting YouTube video by one of our customers we have to point out that these products are unfortunately no longer for sale.
These products were essentially the Genuine Ford passenger side bezel that can be fitted to the driver’s side door by turning it around. This creates a cleaner look to the door handle by removing the lock barrel but, as with the Fiesta variant we sold, it does also mean that access to the car cannot be gained by using the key blade if the battery goes flat.
Whilst these parts were only sold as a cosmetic upgrade, customers began to purchase them for security reasons and as we were unable to comment on their effectiveness for this purpose we withdrew them from sale.

Our parts have been designed to simply stick over the factory part with high quality adhesives that have been thoroughly tested. All* our parts are safe to leave on the car at all times under normal driving conditions**. This means whilst the parts are easy to remove for servicing purposes, they do not have to be placed on and off each time you attend a show.
Our textured 'OEM' finish replicates the look of standard grey vehicle plastics (both internal and external). Parts manufactured in this finish replicate the textured material used in the vehicle from factory.
This finish is ideal for people looking to create an ‘OEM Plus’ look, offering important engine bay components a little more protection from the elements whilst creating clean and tidy lines in the engine bay.
Our smooth for painting finish is ideal for people who wish to paint the parts themselves. As the name suggests, the finish is smooth which means minimal preparation work is required before the parts can be painted. Smooth for painting is a fantastic choice for people who are working on a project and enjoy the satisfaction of completing the work themselves without the risk of damaging the factory parts.
When painted or hydrodipped, these parts provide a higher quality and longer lasting finish than their factory counterparts (where applicable). This is because factory parts are often heavily textured and many other suppliers do not take the time to remove this texture which produces a finish that looks good at first, but ‘sinks’ over time as the textured pattern begins to show back through the print.
We would always recommend checking this with your hydrodipper before instructing them to carry out work for you.
If you are a hydrodipper that may be interested in purchasing our parts, we may be able to offer discounts to trade customers. Please email info@paintmodz.co.uk for details.
These high gloss finishes are a great, cost-effective way of adding some colour to your engine bay/vehicle without the costs associated with painting or hydrodipping. These high gloss covers really will make your engine bay show ready.
Whilst our coloured plastic ranges are not able to provide a perfect match to all vehicle colours (as they are a coloured plastic rather than a painted finish), our Gloss Red and Gloss White plastics are closely matched to Ford’s Race Red and Frozen White respectively. Our other colours include Blue, Black, Yellow, Purple, Orange and Grey.
At Paintmodz.co.uk we offer a range of discounted engine bay dress up ‘bundles’ that allow each part to be customised in the colour/finish of your choice so you really can make your bay look exactly how you want it!
These high gloss finishes are ideal for those looking to recreate the look of carbon fibre, without the associated costs and/or work involved in ‘skinning’ parts. We currently offer two such finishes – ‘Carbon Fibre Effect’ and our premium ‘Deluxe Carbon Fibre Effect’.
Whilst both provide a representative look of Carbon Fibre, the finishes are noticeably different so please check web listing photos carefully, particularly if buying parts to match those previously purchased.
Most of our parts are available in a range of concourse quality painted finishes. In many cases we are able to offer vehicle colour matched parts and stock most colours for modern performance Ford Fiesta, Focus and Puma models. We are also able to source paint colours for other Fords and indeed vehicles across our other ranges (Hyundai i20 & i30, Volkswagen Golf & Caddy, Vauxhall Corsa, Renault Clio etc) as a custom order. If your vehicle colour is not listed on our website, we may be able to source it to order. Please email info@paintmodz.co.uk for details.
We also offer a painting service for a plethora of automotive parts. From headlight ‘eyebrows’ and radiator grilles to brake discs and windscreen wiper arms, we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality finish.
See our custom paintwork gallery for inspiration and/or email info@paintmodz.co.uk for details.
Most of our parts are available in a range of concourse quality hydrodip finishes. We have access to a wide variety of hydrographic designs (not just those listed on our website) and can also offer bespoke prints as a custom order.
These options allow fully customised, one of a kind parts that will ensure your engine bay stands out from the rest! Take a look at our custom hydrodipping gallery for inspiration and/or email info@paintmodz.co.uk for details.
Unlike many other hydrodippers, we always ensure any textured parts are fully prepped back to create a smooth surface before we apply any paint or hydrographic film.
Whilst this takes more time, a failure to do so produces a finish that looks good at first, but ‘sinks’ over time as the textured pattern begins to show back through the print. We genuinely believe our Hydrodip finishes are second to none!
